Concert for America

Michael is beyond proud to be among the voices of this year’s Concert for America, raising funds to benefit the families being ripped apart at the Southern border.  The Concert for America series, created by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, will continue June 30 on the stage of The Cooper Union’s historic Great Hall.

The 5 PM concert, which will also be streamed via Facebook Live, will feature the talents of Jorge Aliva, Tina FeyMandy GonzalezJeremy JordanAudra McDonaldIdina Menzel, Olga Merediz, Brian Stokes MitchellAndrew RannellsChita RiveraKeala Settle, Shaina Taub, and Patrick Wilson. Rudetsky and Wesley will host.

General Admission tickets are $25, and limited VIP seats are $250, with proceeds going towards four organizations working to protect the human and civil rights of families at our southern border: Al Otro Lado, Texas Civil Rights Project, the ACLU Foundation of Texas, and the Florence Project.  Click here for ticket information.

Michael Mott and Friends

Michael recently performed at the Astor Room in the Michael Mott and Friends Cabaret. Mott is a composer and lyricist in New York City, who hosts various cabaret and musical productions throughout the city from The Astor Room in Astoria to Feinstein’s 54 Below in Manhattan. He included Michael as one of the nine featured singers on June 5th. Also performing were Jacquline Vier, Danny Peter Smith, Julia Geb, Joshua Bennett, Morissa Trunzo, Danny McHugh, Sapir Brier, and Pedro Coppeti. Michael looks forward to returning to the Astor Room as well as working with Michael Mott again in the future!

Broadway Sings for Pride

Michael was honored to sing with ‘Broadway Sings For Pride’ at the official NYC Pride Family Movie Night. He openend the show duetting Can You Feel The Love Tonight with Nia Ashleigh (Broadway’s The Lion King), enjoyed a solo by Jacqueline Rene (Broadway’s The Lion King), then Michael got everyone up dancing as he closed out the show by singing Cheap Thrills by Sia.

Todrick Hall's: Straight Outta Oz

After going on the road as Tour Manager for last year’s North American tour of Todrick Hall’s Straight Outta Oz, Michael finished off this year’s tour by joining the cast and crew in Australia. Visiting Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Syndey, Michael fell in love with Australia and can’t wait to go back! The tour was the fully staged extended version of his album of the same title, which reached Top 2 in the Pop charts in under 12 hours surpassing even Adele, and will include over 30 performances throughout the US and Canada last year, and sold out theaters around the world in this year’s tour.

NYC's Rising Star Competition

Michael made it to the Top 7 in the Rising Star hosted by Marty Thomas. Out of 50 singers, Michael made it through weekly eliminations and was able to impress a rotating panel of judges including Broadway’s Nick Adams, Natalie Weiss, casting directors and more… Congrats to Carla Bordonada for taking home the crown! NYC Pride Performance

For the third year in a row Michael performed at an official NYC Pride event, returning this year to Pride Family Movie Night! Singing along side other NYC vocalists for Broadway Sings for Pride, Michael performed ‘Only Us’ from Dear Evan Hansen and ‘Firework’ by Katy Perry. It was a fun-filled night for the whole family and when the performances ended, the screening of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast began! Michael was thrilled to perform for NYC Pride and spread the message of love and inclusion in a time when this country needs it.

Cirque Dreams: Holidaze

Michael was cast as a lead vocalist and Vocal Captain for the North American Tour of Cirque Dreams: Holidaze. Duet with Todrick

Michael performed ‘Color’, a duet with Todrick Hall from his Chart-topping Album Straight Outta Oz, at the NYC Pride Rally. Hundreds were in attendance and Michael was honored to finally sing on stage with his long-time friend, and support this amazing album.

Michael performs at 54 Below

Michael will be singing in David Davila’s Vox Pop! Musical at 54 Below as a member of the vocal quartet. The show will be a thrilling party featuring amazing New York City talent and even a handful of talent hailing from Michael’s home-state of Texas! We all know Disney and drag queens are pretty much one in the same and with our resident prince and his cast of princesses (and villains), this was a no-brainer! Michael will be singing aboard Holland America Line’s Nieuw Amsterdam cruise ship! You can find him entertaining as a lead singer from April 2013 – January 2014. Michael’s online cover from NBC’s SMASH has been receiving rave comments on YouTube! Visit his channel and listen to ‘Let Me Be Your Star’. This song was originally performed by Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty on the pilot and promo videos for SMASH. Michael enjoyed the song and show so much that he made a cover of the song in the original key as these amazing singers.This has been his most popular YouTube video so far. Michael cast in RENT

Michael has just been cast in RENT at the Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth, Texas. Come support Michael as you see him perform as Gordon and other ensemble roles. This is Michaels second production of RENT, his last having been at the ZACH Theatre in Austin, TX.This time you will be able to hear Michael perform the solo in ‘Will I’ as well as other vocals throught the show.
